Elna
Our original plan was to arrive in PNG on 24 September 2017. It is now one year later.
We could speculate about all the reasons God had for not allowing us to be there yet. And I do often make a list in my mind of all the many blessings that have come from spending this year in South Africa instead. But in the end, it comes down to this…
Ephesians 2:10
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
Our good and gracious Father created us for good works. And He prepared them for us. And His purposes will stand.
So while my heart yearns to be with our friends in PNG, it also rejoices and is content with serving our family and friends here.
Prayer requests:
- We have our work permits, but are still awaiting the processing of our Visas. Please pray that this would happen soon.
- Please pray for the Canns as they diligently keep working – you can read about the progress they’ve made with the literacy program here.
- The Lehmans are also back in PNG for another stretch serving as logistics coordinators. Pray with us for someone to eventually replace them, and praise God for their willingness to continue on in this role for now.
- You can also pray for Amelia – she has arrived safely in PNG, and is thoroughly enjoying her orientation time in Madang. The Lehmans are taking very good care of her! Pray for friends and family here in SA, who are already missing her.
